Jayne Heitmeyer


Jayne Heitmeyer starred in three seasons of Gene Roddenberry’s Emmy/Gemini -nominated EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT and the ABC series SIRENS. Other credits include playing Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind in the Emmy-nominated miniseries P.T.BARNUM with Beau Bridges, and recurring roles on Showtime’s STREET TIME and the critically acclaimed HBO Canada miniseries DURHAM COUNTY. She was cast by Brian DePalma in his feature film SNAKE EYES with Nicolas Cage, co-starred in TWO THOUSAND AND NONE with John Turturro, BEYOND REDEMPTION with Andrew McCarthy , the family dramas BELIEVE with Ben Gazzara and SOUTH OF THE MOON with John Ralston, as well as appearing in Denys Arcand’s Genie-nominated STARDOM. She starred in the short film PRETTY DEAD FLOWERS, nominated for Best Drama at the Academy-recognized L.A. Shorts Film Festival. Recently she had a recurring role on the popular TeenNick series DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION as well as guest-starring on the CBC series REPUBLIC OF DOYLE. She also co-starred in the Gemini-nominated movie JACK OF DIAMONDS. Recent films include E1 Entertainment/Don Carmody’s DIE with Caterina Murino and Elias Koteas and an appearance in UPSIDE DOWN with Kirsten Dunst. Upcoming for 2013, Jayne is co-starring in STILL LIFE with Nathaniel Parker based on Louise Penny’s New York Times bestseller, as well as alongside Eddie McClintock in the family drama ‘a fish story’ – an Equinoxe Films/Urban Lumberjack Films/Aisha Productions production.
Jayne is a member of L.A.’s Harvey Lembeck Professional Improv Comedy Workshop. She has studied with Michelle Danner at the Larry Moss Studio and privately with Charles Carroll. She has attended workshops led by Warren Robertson, Ivana Chubbuck, Tom Todoroff, Miriam Lawrence, Anna Marie Kostera, Rutger Hauer as well as Julia Lenardon, National Theater School of Canada, and studied dialects with Rea Nolan.
